Portly Stranger

I find it amusing when unsuspecting people end up in my pictures. The corpulent gentleman standing behind me in the above photo is the perfect example. I just noticed him today as I was reviewing pictures from my recent visit to Chicago.

Who is this mysterious man and what is he doing in the picture? It appears he's having trouble removing one of his sandals. There are other shoes by his feet, so he's not alone. Why are none of his friends assisting him? And I wonder if he intends on removing his oversized t-shirt. Or maybe he will keep it on.

He reminds me of the fat boy from one of my favorite Onion videos who kept his shirt on in the pool to avoid being made fun of:

Ready, Jetset, Go!

I think I caught something when I was in Asia. No, not SARs. I caught the travel bug!

I'm itching for another vacation. Maybe I can go sometime in September or October. This time for two weeks hopefully. I'll see what my boss says.

I want to go to Spain and Morocco. Or maybe a trip to Australia and New Zealand would be fun too.

To the Orient!

Ry and I bought tickets to Hong Kong and Japan today. Our goals for the trip:

Hong Kong
- Fly. Everyone can fly when they're in China as we discovered from Crouching Tiger
- Have dim sum and dim sum more
- Confuse locals by having a conversation with Ry in Cantonese
- Befriend the daughter of a triad boss and get sucked into the dangerous underworld of Hong Kong crime and prostitution
- Eat at Pizzahut

Japan
- Capture a Harajuku girl with a Pokeball
- Challenge a stranger to a hot dog eating competition
- Tip over a Sumo wrestler
- ANTM Cycle 3 cell phone photoshoot in a Ryokan wearing a kimono
- Hug Hello Kitty
- Laugh politely
- Whore Ry out as a Gaysha so Kevin can buy more tonkatsu ramen
